The Chicago Couples Series and Other Stories...

Coming Soon, Part Two in the Chicago Couples series...

When you have a dream...

When Wyatt and Ashley Jenkins decided to grow their family, neither could have fathomed just how taxing it would be to add two little feet to the mix. A sought after veterinarian with a flourishing practice, Wyatt is thrilled at the thought of sharing their lives with a child and he knows life will never be the same once their bouncing bundle arrives. But what happens while they wait? As the due date draws near, tension grows between Wyatt and Ashley to the point Wyatt is forced to compromise everything he believes.

You’ll do anything...

For Ashley, the thought of becoming a mom is nothing short of a dream come true. In fact, it’s nothing short of a miracle.  Yet as she readies herself for a brand new existence, Wyatt seems to be moving further away from everything the couple once held dear. Worse, Ashley is beginning to wonder if Wyatt still wants a family. But it doesn’t matter. While Ashley loves Wyatt, her commitment to the new life they’ve created is rock solid. Ashley is ready to be a mom.

And pray it’s enough…

When the fighting and the distance becomes too much, Wyatt runs to his practice while Ashley retreats to the half decorated nursery and each is content to look the other way rather than deal with the issues tearing apart the relationship they once treasured. While Wyatt might be able to throw it all away, Ashley wants a healthy foundation in place for the well being of their newborn.  And that’s exactly what Ashley plans to have even if that means she’ll do it as a single mother.

Now Available, Part One in the Chicago Couples series...

If you survive...

When Haley Ellis is left for dead, she knows her life will never be the same.  The public face of the largest fashion house in North America, Haley has fallen out of favor with the powers that be, the advertising execs seeking a much younger woman to take her place in the spotlight.  Haley never dreamed she’d be washed up at the tender age of twenty-six.

Can you rebuild?

Jake Austin has given up trying to force relationships.  While he longs for someone to share his life with, Jake’s content growing his private therapy practice and helping his dad keep the family recycling business in the black.

Or is it worth the risk?

When a chance trip to the wrong side of town on a frigid Chicago morning brings Jake and Haley together, there’s a moment when Jake believes fate might just be on his side.  But two white lies, one favor, and an empty hospital bed later, Jake realizes he’s the one that’s been left this time.  And that really stinks because Jake knows first hand no one deserves to be thrown away.

Defending Love, Rebel Ink Press 2014 Charity project...

Bully and abuse have plagued our society since time began, eroding self-esteem and creating power vacuums within our schools, workplaces and relationships. Experts estimate that bullying and less physical forms of abuse have become so commonplace; most of us don’t even recognize the more common forms of abuse even as they’re occurring all around us.

At Rebel Ink Press, we believe writing has the power to heal. We see words as a way to share our hurts, dream of brighter tomorrows and fellowship with others. It’s our sincere hope that our stories encourage readers to journey through this world with open eyes and open hearts toward their fellow man. Everything starts with one and builds, which means we are stronger together than we can ever be apart.

Rebel Ink Press presents our 2014 charitable project, Defending Love, a collection of short stories from the Rebel writers written to raise awareness regarding bullying and abuse. For every copy sold, a charitable donation will be made to help nurture victims and families affected by abuse through the Everything Starts with 1 organization.

Thank you for your purchase. By opening your eyes to the signs of abuse and bullying, it’s our sincere hope you’ll find the way to help ease another’s suffering.
